I am the owner of Learning with Purpose, LLC. I created this business to offer families a resource for academic support to help students be the best that they can be and meet their academic and lifelong goals. Before retiring from Cabarrus County Schools in June 2022, I worked as a teacher (grades K-8), mentor, academic coach, lead teacher, interventionist and administrator. I have extensive experience working with students who are academically tangled, and in-depth training and experience in Literacy. Through my work experience, I have become well-versed in local and state curriculum standards and instructional platforms.

I was born and raised in Concord, NC and graduated from Concord High School. As a child growing up in the Logan Community and attending the local schools, I grew to LOVE learning. I saw education as a way to a better life for myself and my future family. My passion for learning and love for children lead me to teaching. Working in the local public schools has been very rewarding. I’ve watched so many students succeed on so many levels. I want to continue to share those moments of success with students and families.

I truly love Cabarrus County, so I’ve always lived in this area. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and doing anything outdoors.
